AJ 12 Retro ‘Sumo’ IW1218-098

The AJ 12 Retro ‘Sumo’ IW1218-098 celebrates the Hoops Heroes Tour, during which Michael Jordan and other basketball stars famously participated in an exhibition against sumo wrestlers. Its Black, Night Purple, Metallic Gold and White palette gives the commemorative design a powerful, luxurious presence.

Premium laser-etched black leather draws inspiration from Hokusai’s iconic The Great Wave off Kanagawa, while rich Night Purple suede wraps the lower profile. Polished Metallic Gold hardware, stylized text, custom insoles and special packaging extend the Japanese-inspired storytelling beyond the upper.

A plush foam midsole works with full-length Air Zoom cushioning to deliver soft yet responsive comfort. Underfoot, the purple rubber outsole features shimmering gold flecks, combining durable traction with another distinctive visual detail.
